I have lived in Paimute, Alaska all my life. The stories I have heard down the ages are most interesting and it makes you feel like you are their with them. The different indians especially the ones from the eastern seaboard called the south indians have the most beautiful language the slow deep musical drawl was caught on by many people that surrounds them. It is said that they can cure cancer, they can stop hurricanes, even simply grow your hair thicker but as an indian people never believe it is said soon everyone will no the secret that we all no. It took thousands of years to translate into english this prayer' with the blood of jesus christ strike the devil out'. It is when one feel scared, frightened, or just stress out it calms the mind, body and soul. Religious one is not but I always use this phrase during daily living.kathy nease

In this present days many of the choildren are loosing the basic concept and idea of the mythology and history.Its really a nice web page with good info abt Mythology. Still u can add a lot abt the characters in Ramayana and Mahabharata which are unknown to many and fading away with time and may be some stories like Bhishma told to Yudhistara, if possible. Hi,
I am searching for any information you may have about a deity originally from Indian Mythology who became incorporated as one of the 12 Gods in Buddhism. I am searching for a picture of this deity and have exhausted every known resource I have searching for him. The reason I'm looking for this deity is because I am working on a project to find images of each of the 34 characters on the Gohonzon inscribed by Nichiren Daishonin, founder of the Nichiren school of Buddhism. The only information I have about this deity is as follows from a glossary of Buddhist terms: Dai Myojo-tenno (Great Heavenly King Stars, or the god of the stars): A deification of the stars in Indian mythology incorporated into Buddhism as one of the twelve gods.
I'd deeply appreciate any help or search tips you can possibly provide in my investigation about this deity, and ultimately a picture of it (even if scanned from a book).
